The newly appointed Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Chuadanga Mohammad Jahirul Islam arranged a view-exchange meeting with local journalists at Deputy Commissioner’s Conference room on Wednesday.
The meeting was presided over by the Deputy Commissioner. Additional Deputy Commissioner Sharmin Akhter, Assistant Commissioners Rezwana Nahid, Tithi Mitraw and Saiful Islam Saif also attended at the meeting.
During the inaugural speech, Deputy Commissioner Jahirul Islam introduced himself, greeted all journalists for attending the meeting and asked them to discuss different issues and problems of Chuadanga district.
Chuadanga Press Club President Rajib Hasan Kochi, Editor of Daily Pashchimanchal Ajad Malita, Chief Editor of Daily Somoyer Somikoron Nazmul Hoque Swapon, Editor of Daily Mathabhanga Sardar Al Amin, Journalists Rifat Rahman, RK Liton, Mofizur Rahman Joarder, Alamgir, Sanvi, Rafiqul Islam, Shah Alam Sony and Mmun Mollah discussed on different issues and problems like agriculture, roads, drugs, education, traffic system and illegal grabbing of government land.
Deputy Commissioner Jahirul Islam said people are expecting changes of previous acts and reforms of the areas. So, we will try our best to fulfil their expectations.
He urged all to cooperate them in this regard.
