A day-long workshop on “Introduction to Institutional Quality Assurance Cell” was held on Sunday at Nabab Nawab Ali Chowdhury Senate Bhaban of Dhaka University (DU). DU Vice-Chancellor (VC) Professor Dr Md Akhtaruzzaman inaugurated the event as the chief guest. The Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC-DU) organized this workshop.
Director of IQAC-DU Professor Dr Md Rahmat Ullah presided over the function while Pro-VC (academic) Professor Dr Nasreen Ahmad addressed it as special guest. Additional Directors of IQAC Professor Dr M Amir Hossain and Professor Dr Syed Shahrier Rahman also addressed the inaugural session.
DU VC Professor Dr Md Akhtaruzzaman urged the teachers to work together to enhance the quality of education and research at the university. He stressed the need for development of curriculum, teaching-learning method and evaluation system at DU to improve ranking among the universities in the world. Deans, Chairmen, Directors and Senior Professors of different Faculties, Departments and Institutes of DU participated in the workshop.
