Rector of Cyprus Social Sciences University Professor Dr Mustafa Tumer called on Dhaka University (DU) Vice-Chancellor (VC) Professor Dr Md Akhtaruzzaman on Monday at the latter’s office of the university.
He was accompanied by Professor Himmet Karadal, editor of International Journal of Entrepreneurship and Management Inquiries and Professor Dr Asim Saldamli of Mardin Artuklu University, Turkey, said a DU press release.
Dean of the Faculty of Business Studies of DU Professor Shibli Rubayat-Ul-Islam and Professor Dr Md Wahiduzzaman of IER of DU were, among others, present on this occasion.
During the meeting, they discussed various issues including the possibilities of undertaking joint collaborative academic and research programmes among DU and different universities in Turkey and Cyprus.
The academic delegation is now on a visit to Bangladesh to attend a two-day long international conference on ‘Business and Economics’ organized by the Faculty of Business Studies of DU.
