Mannan Matbar (72) of Shoula village said the same thing. His two enclosures floated in the water. He claimed that there was a loss of around 3 lakh Tk.
According to the information provided by various sources, about half a hundred fishing enclosures and numerous fish ponds in the upazila have been washed away. The estimated loss is about half a million rupees.
In addition, Chandradwip, Kalaia, Dhulia, Keshabpur, Kachipara and Kanakdia Unions of the upazila have suffered extensive damage. Many trees, electricity poles and half a hundred houses were broken.
