Chattogram Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (CVASU) organized a day-long 'Pitha Festival' in a festive and joyful atmosphere.
On Thursday morning, the food science and technology faculty of the university organized this day-long pitha Festival. On this occasion, a colourful procession was taken out in the university campus. CVASU Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr ASM Lutful Ahsan led the procession and students, teachers, officers and staff of the faculty participated. After the procession, the pitha festival was inaugurated in the premises of the administrative building of the university. Dean of Fisheries Faculty Professor Dr Mohammad Nurul Absar Khan, Dean of Food Science and Technology Faculty Professor Dr Ashraf Ali Biswas, Dean of Veterinary Medicine Faculty Professor Dr Mohammad Lutfur Rahman, Registrar Mirza Farooq Imam, Director (Student Welfare) Dr Subrata Kumar Shil, Director (Veterinary Clinics) Professor Dr Raihan Farooq, Director (External Activities) Professor Dr AKM Saifuddin along with students, teachers, officers and employees of the Faculty of Food Science and Technology were present. The day-long pitha festival featured Nakshi pitha, rose pitha, clove latika, anand pakkan, mukha pakkan, colored oysters, chicken puli, chicken momo, fish pitha, shahi patisapta, modak, kheer lajbati, pastavasta, nawabi prepared by students of the faculty of food science and technology.
Pakhiraj, Tunnel Pie, Symbol of Love, Dim Aloo, Gapus Gupus, Rose of Love, Dim Duich, Rolls, Panipuri and Pasta in various flavors and sizes. There were a total of 11 stalls at the pitha festival.
After the pitha festival, a cultural program was organized in the evening.
