One Health Day-2021 has been celebrated at Chittagong Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (CVASU) on Monday through various programmes.
The program included forest parades, seminars and quiz competitions. These programs are jointly organized by CVASU, One Health Bangladesh and Global Health Development.
CVASU teachers, officers, students and staff participated in the procession which was taken out on the university campus on Monday afternoon. After that seminar and quiz competition was held in CVASU auditorium.

CVASU Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Gautam Buddha Das was present as the Chief Guest at the seminar. The special guest was Professor Dr Mohammad Alamgir Hossain, Dean, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine. The keynote address was delivered by Professor Dr Mahmudur Rahman, Former Director, Global Health Development Country Representative, Bangladesh and IEDCR. Former Principal of Chittagong Medical College Professor Dr Imran Bin Yunus, Director of CVASU Poultry Research and Training Center Professor Dr Paritosh Kumar Biswas, Divisional Forest Officer Rafiqul Islam Cheidhuri, President of One Health Young Voice, Bangladesh participated in the panel discussion. The seminar was presided over by Professor Dr Sharmin Chowdhury, Director, CVASU One Health Institute.
At the end of the seminar, Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Gautam Buddha Das handed over the crest to the winners of the quiz competition.
