Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology (CHUET) has celebrated 50 years since Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman received the ‘Juliot-Curie’ Peace Medal through a program held the academic council room of the university on Tuesday.

Director of Student Welfare Prof. Dr. Md. Under the chairmanship of Rezaul Karim, the special guest at the event was Dean of Engineering and Technology Faculty. Dr. Sunil Dhar, Dean of the Faculty of Civil Engineering. Md. Moinul Islam, the newly appointed dean of the Faculty of Electrical and Computer Technology.
Director of Student Welfare Prof. Dr. Md. Rezaul Karim presided over the programme while the special guest at the event was Dean of Engineering and Technology Faculty Dr. Sunil Dhar, Dean of the Faculty of Civil Engineering Dr. Md. Moinul Islam, the newly appointed dean of the Faculty of Electrical and Computer Technology Dr. Mohammad Samsul Arefin.
Member Secretary of National Day Celebration Committee, Dean and Registrar (Additional Duty) of Faculty of Mechanical Engineering Dr. Sheikh Mohammad Humayun Kabir gave welcome speech. Former president of CUET Teachers’ Association Dr. Sajal Chandra Banik, General Secretary of the Officers Association Md. Mokbul Hossain and the president of the staff association Md. Jamal Uddin also spoke at the event.
