A four-member delegation led by Dr. Jamal Faruq Jibril Mahmud, a former dean of the Islamic Dawah Faculty of Al-Azhar University, Egypt paid a courtesy call on Chittagong University Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Shireen Akhta on Thursday at the latter’s office of the university. Other members of the delegation were Dr. Ibrahim Salah Al-Sayed Solaiman Al-Hudhud, Dr. Mohammed Mahmud Ahmed Hashim, and Mahmud Ahmed Shahat Al-Sagir.
At this time, CU Syndicate member Professor Dr. Mohammad Abul Mansoor, Prof. Dr. Mohammad Khairul Islam, CU Law Faculty Dean Prof. Dr. Abdullah Al Farooq, CU IQAC Director Prof. Dr. Mohammad Abdullah Mamun, CU Arabic Department Prof. Dr. Kazi Muhammad Haroon-ur-Rasheed, Prof. Dr. Mohammad Zafar Ullah, Associate Professor Dr. Muhammad Shafiullah Kutubi, Director of Darul Irfan Research Institute Shahzada Syed Erfanul Haque, members of the institute Sheikh SM Forkhan and Mr. Abul Manchur Sikdar and Director of Khan Agro Syed Md. Saidul Haque Khan were present.
The CU Vice-Chancellor said that in the light of the MoU executed by Chittagong University with Al-Azhar University, academic activities are ongoing between the teachers-researchers and students of both universities. He expressed hope that this relationship will remain unbroken in the future.
