Chittagong University (CU) will resume physical classes today. The university administration made this announcement in a notice signed by Acting Registrar Professor Dr. Md. Saiful Islam.
The decision to resume in-person classes was taken during a recent Syndicate meeting. Professor Dr. Mohammad Shamim Uddin Khan, Vice-Chancellor (Academic) and a member of the Syndicate, confirmed this. He said, "Physical classes will start today."
Students had the opportunity to apply for hostel seats through an online process, which was completed earlier. The seat allotment process is now done, and students are being allowed to enter the dormitories from today.
Chittagong University was previously closed due to student protests demanding action against discrimination. The closure had affected academic activities, but with the reopening, the university is now set to return to its regular schedule.
The administration has made preparations for a smooth transition back to physical classes. Students are encouraged to stay updated with further instructions and guidelines to ensure a safe and organized return to campus.
