Ctg road named after freedom fighter Dr. Lalit inaugurated

Mayor of Chattogram City Corporation (CCC) Md Rezaul Karim Chowdhury inaugurated a road named after heroic freedom fighter Dr. Lalit Kumar Dutta in the port city. 

Chittagong-11 Constituency Member of Parliament MA Latif was present at the inaugural programme at SadarghatSouth Nalapara of the city on Monday.

Mayor Rezaul said that after few years neither I nor any freedom fighter will be alive.  So, I have made up my mind to name various important roads and structures after the name of freedom fighters to keep the memory of those who sacrificed their lives for the independence of the country.

Member of Parliament MA Latif said that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is playing a leading role in the implementation of the plan for the development of Chittagong.  

Rezaul Karim Chowdhury said,“ We are motivated by the spirit of the liberation war, inspired by the ideals of the liberation war and are working towards the realization of Bangabandhu's unfinished dream.”

Chittagong Metropolitan Awami League Forest and Environment Affairs Secretary Moshiur Rahman Chowdhury, Sports Affairs Secretary DidarulAlamDidar, CouncillorAtaullah Chowdhury, Abdus Salam Masum, Sadarghat Thana Awami League President freedom fighter Jahangir Alam, Bangladesh MuktijoddhaSangsad Chittagong Metropolitan Unit Commander freedom fighterMozaffar Ahmad, Dr.Lalit Kumar Dutt's son Roni Dutta, CCC Supervising Engineer Jashim Uddin Chowdhury, Executive Engineer Ashiqul Islam along with Ward No. 30, No. 29 and No. 31 leaders of Awami League, Juba League and Chhatra League were present.

It is mentionable that Dr.Lalit Kumar Dutta was a famous ear, nose and throat specialist in Chittagong.  Dr.Lalit Kumar Dutta's native village I Gahira of Anwaraupazila. Lalit Kumar Dutta was also the Awami League leader and the undeclared guardian of the Hindu community of South Nalapara.
