An exchange meeting was held with district administration officials with Samsul Arefin, Secretary of Information and Communication Technology Department at Circuit House in Chattogram. In the meeting, various initiatives of the district administration were discussed to make Chattogram the first smart district of the country. Smart Licensing Portal was inaugurated in this meeting on Monday afternoon. Through this portal all the licenses issued by the district administration can be obtained more easily and in less time.
Besides, the licensee will receive notification directly through SMS before and after the expiry of his license. Once the portal is fully operational, license and renewal applications can be made directly on this portal and money can be deposited. As a result, it is expected that the suffering of the consumers will be less and the violence of the brokers will be reduced.
Besides, the customer can take a copy of his license online by printing it. When asked about this, Chattogram Deputy Commissioner Abul Bashar Mohammad Fakhruzzaman said, "We want to make Chattogram a smart district first. For this purpose, this portal has been created to simplify our service delivery system."
