The hosts beat Rajshahi by 10 wickets in the last round match at Zahoor Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chittagong on Monday. This is Chittagong's fifth win in six matches. They became the second tier champions with a total of 47 points.
Chittagong scored 290 runs after stopping Rajshahi for 189 runs in the first innings of the match. After trailing by 101 runs, Rajshahi collapsed to 124 runs for the second time. Chittagong reached the target of 24 runs in just 2.2 overs.
Chittagong continued their work the previous day by taking 6 wickets of Rajshahi for 99 runs. Rajshahi can only add 25 runs on the day.
Later, the hosts won easily courtesy of 21 runs off 11 balls. Murad took 4 wickets in the first innings and took 5 victims.
This is his 12th 5-wicket haul in first-class cricket. The left-arm spinner, who got a chance in the Test team against New Zealand, won the Man of the Match award.
