BNP Vice Chairman Mir Mohammad Nasir Uddin and his son BNP central member Mir Helal have accused of harassing and forging land of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) land by filing a case against Sadhu, Monk at Hathazari Sri Sri Pundarick Dham in Chattogram.
ISKCON Bangladesh General Secretary Charu Chandra Das Brahmachari made this complaint in a press conference organized at Chattogram Press Club on Sunday.
He said in a written statement at the press conference that the BNP Vice Chairman Mir Mohammad Nasir Uddin and his son Mir Helal, a central member of BNP, are trying to forcefully occupy the property of Lakshmi Janardan Vigraha of Pundarick Dham in BS Khatian claiming that it is in their name. They even tried to build a wall on the temple road with a team.
The leader of BNP is threatening death in various ways if the temple authorities prevent it. A case has also been filed in the Metropolitan Additional District Magistrate Court.
He said that the people of Dham have a good relationship with the people belonging to the Islamic religion of the area. But BNP leader Mir Nasir and his son wanted to destroy communal harmony and anarchy in the area by occupying the place of Vigraha and blocking the movement of servicemen. The saint is also threatening to kill the monks
We do not understand why the BNP leaders are eyeing the land instead of the Hindu pilgrimage site.
Meanwhile, ISKCON presented seven points of demand. He warned that Hindus across the country will be forced to take to the streets if there is an attempt to occupy the place of Pundarick Dham or any kind of conspiracy.
Later, ISKCON Chattogram general secretary and Pundarick Dham principal Chinmoy Krishnadas Brahmachari answered various questions from journalists and said that BNP leader Mir Nasir and his son Mir Helal are occupying the temple site by making fake documents. If the temple protested, death threats were issued.
Property of Lakshmi Janardhana Vigraha is Deity property. Which is never transferable. RS Khatian also mentions this property in the name of Lakshmi Janardhan Vigraha. But in the absence of continuity in BS Khatian, they are trying to grab this property by creating fake documents in their name.
Apart from this, Mir Nasir and Mir Helal is active in harming Sri Dham through various acts of mischief, including the role of saints as monks, destroying religious harmony by hacking social media.
From the press conference, ISKCON leaders drew the attention of the Prime Minister, Home Minister, Land Minister, law enforcement agencies. Mohant of Sri Sri Kaibalya Dham Mohant Kalipada Bhattacharya, Principal of Pundrick Dham Chinmoy Krishna Das Brahmachari, ISKCON Prabartak Sri Krishna Mandir Principal Leelaraj Gaur Das Brahmachari, Chattogram City Corporation Principal of Sri Krishna Mandir Jahar Lal Hazari, Nilu Nag, Former General Secretary of Bangladesh Janmashtami Udjapan Parishad Advocate Chandan Talukdar and Chattogram Metropolitan Swechasebak League President Debashish Nath Debu were present.
