Criminals are enemies of society: DIG

Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police of Khulna Range, Md Rezaul Haq, said we must move away from the culture of enforcing laws in a manner that suits our own interests. Otherwise, we will have to confront social forces once again, as we did during the movement in July and August.

The DIG came up with assertion while visiting tenmples in Chuadanga on Saturday.

While exchanging views with people of Sanatan religion, DIG Rezaul Haq also said those who are involved in various kinds of crimes and seek to divide society are the enemies of society. This society will move forward. You may be able to halt or stop it for a while, but it is not possible to do so permanently. You will be accountable to the future generation.

He said there are still professional police officers. Please trust us and monitor us if necessary. Point out our mistakes so that we can stay on the right path. At the same time, when you highlight my mistakes, I hope you do not lead yourself down the wrong path due to malicious intent.

Chuadange Superintendent of Police Khandaker Golam Mowla presided over the meeting held at Boro Bazar Durga Temple in Chaudanga town. Additional DIG Hasanuzzaman, Chuadanga Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Zahirul Islam, member secretary of district BNP Sharifuzzaman, district Jamaat-e-Ameer Ruhul Amin, president of district Hindu, Buddhist, Christian Okya Parishad Dr Martin Hirok and others spoke at the meeting.
