The last phase of preparation for the upcoming Pakistan tour of the Bangladesh national cricket team got underway from Saturday in Dhaka, following a three-day and a two-day match in Chattogram.
The cricketers also took part in the stamina test at the home of cricket, Sher-e-Bangla Stadium, Mirpur yesterday morning.
BCB Physio Bayezdul Islam informed the media, “Before going to the World Cup, we did a fitness test and on the day it was just a follow-up of previous activities, due to rough weather we could not do the running session. A total of 14 cricketers appeared in the strengthen assessment.”
The assessments of skill will start from tomorrow (Sunday). But the running session depends on the condition and the number of attendance of cricketers. Some of the players will go Pakistan on August 6 with the ‘A’ team and the national team will join with the them in Pakistan. So if we would have time, will make a plan to play a limited (50 overs) over match in Pakistan. Bayjedul
Meanwhile, it is expected that Taskin Ahmed will return in Test cricket. However, Bayjed said that Taskin’s shoulder injury was in same condition. He (Bayjed) said, “His shoulder injury is stable as it was before, there is no change. If he will recover the injury will be available to play the test.”
