A three-day crash programme on awareness on second wave of Covid-19 began in Jhenaidah on Tuesday.
Jhenaidah district administration organised the programme at Pairachatter in the district town to make massive awareness among the people to protect them from the global pandemic.
A number of senior government officials including Deputy Commissioner (DC) Saroj Kumar Nath were present at the time.
Announcing the three-day crash programme, the DC and other government officials distributed facemasks among common people and urged them to wear the masks and use hand sanitisers to protect themselves from the pandemic.
Later the district administration conducted mobile courts and fined a number of people including pedestrians for not wearing facemask.
The crash programme would continue till today (November 12).
