Chittagong Port Authority has recovered 2 acres of land at the entrance of Shah Amanat Airport in Patenga area of the city through an eviction drive on Wednesday morning.
The operation launched has evicted 150 illegal installations on Wednesday morning.
Authorized Officer and Executive Magistrate of Chittagong Port Authority Gautam Baroi and Assistant Land Manager Muhammad Shihab Uddin led the operation to evict 150 illegal installations at the area.
Gautam Baroi said illegal evictions were carried out at 12 and 14 docks of Karnafuli river at the entrance of Shah Amanat Airport. In this operation 2 acres of land of Chittagong port was recovered. For a long time locals have been building shops to occupy the land.
