Under the MGSP project, development work of Cox's Bazar Hotel-Motel Zone Beach and Saran Residential Area, Beach Para and Badsha Ghona Link Road RCC, Drain, Footpath and Street Light has been started at a cost of Taka 14 crore 71 lakh 27 thousand.
Mayor of Cox's Bazar Municipality Mujibur Rahman inaugurated the foundation stone of the work in the light house area of the tourist city on Tuesday.
The Mayor addressed the inaugural meeting as the chief guest at a meeting chaired by local councilor Kazi Morshed Ahmed Babu and conducted by journalist Ahsan Sumon.
Chakaria Upazila Chairman Fazlul Karim Sayedee, Municipality Panel Mayor-2 Helal Uddin Kabir, Jhilangja Union Parishad Chairman Tipu Sultan, Acting General Secretary of Hotel Motel Guest Owners Association Selim Newaz and Saran Samiti President Sharafat Ullah Babul spoke on the occasion. Besides, Executive Engineer of the Municipality Nurul Alam, Assistant Engineer Sirajul Kalam Babul, Deputy Assistant Engineer Teton Das and others were present.
