The schedule for flight take-off and landing at Cox’s Bazar airport has been extended from 7:00pm in the evening to 10:15pm in the night.

Flights at this airport were scheduled to take off and land until 7:00pm until now. However, starting Sunday, the schedule has been extended to 10:15 PM.

Assistant Director (ATM) of Cox’s Bazar airport Md Golam Mortoza Hossain confirmed the matter on Sunday afternoon.

He said from now on, tourists and businesspeople arriving from various places, including the capital Dhaka, will be able to visit Cox's Bazar in the morning and return at night. According to the extended schedule on the first day, the first flight was scheduled to depart from Cox's Bazar Airport at 8:15pm, followed by the second flight at 10:15pm. This initiative will enhance the local tourism sector and business activities. Moreover, communication between Cox's Bazar and both domestic and international tourists will become even easier due to the extended schedule, he said.

Md Golam Mortuza said according to the new schedule on Sunday, two additional flights were added compared to before. This will result in a total of 16 flights scheduled for landing and takeoff from Cox's Bazar on that day.

Local businessmen believe that this initiative will have a highly positive impact on both the tourism industry and business activities in Cox's Bazar.

Sources from the Cox's Bazar Airport authorities said that prior to this, an average of 16 to 17 flights operated daily until Saturday. That number will gradually increase starting from now. This will benefit not only those involved in the airline business but also the passengers.
