The poor and landless farmer Asim Biswas had desired to lead his family by rearing cows, but thieves had shattered his dream stealing four adult cows including a cuff form his cowshed on Tuesday night.
The cows were the only source for his survival. The tragic incident took place in the house of Asim Biswas of Lohajanga village in Jhenaidah Sadar upazila. Asim Biswas said he went to sleep after feeding cows in the early night of Tuesday.
A few hours later he appeared before the cowshed and witnessed four cows were missing. The thieves had entered in to the cowshed breaking the locks and chains.
Approximate price of the stolen cows was primarily estimated for an amount of taka four lakh, Asim Biswas said. Jhenaidah Sadar police station officer in charge Sheikh Sohel Rana when contacted said he had sent official on the spot and trying to nab the thieves to recover the cows at an early date.
