The overall coronavirus situation of Bangladesh has been improved as the country has registered 7deaths from Covid-19 in 24 hours till 8am Thursday.
This takes the total number of deaths to 27,737. The current positivity rate falls to2.16pc.
The country recorded 466 new infections in the meantime taking the total number of people infected to 1,564,485, according to a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) on Thursday.
The death rate now stands at 1.77 percent in the country, as per the press release. Around 21,568 samples were tested during this time.
Among the seven deceased, three were men and four women. Among the deaths reported, three died in Dhaka division, two in Chattogram and one each in Rajshahi and Khulna divisions.
Around 695 people recovered from the virus during the time.A total of 1,526,368 people have recovered from the virus and the recovery rate stands at 97.56 percent.
As of Thursday, 4,891,941 people died of Covid-19 across the world and 240,061,327 have been infected so far, according to Worldometer.
