Bangladesh registered one more death in 24 hours from Covid-19 till 8am Monday. The total number of deaths has reached to 29,112 with the latest figure.
A total of 239 people were newly infected during this time and the total number of people infected rose to 1,949,725, according to a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) on Monday.
The current positivity rate dropped to 1.97 percent and the overall positivity rate stands at 14.28 percent.
Earlier on Sunday, three people died from the virus and 233 people contracted the virus.
In addition, the death rate now stands at 1.49 percent in the country, added the release.
The sole deceased was a male from Chattogram.
A total of 13,667 samples were tested across the country till 8am Monday.
Some 1,922 Covid-19 patients have recovered during this period. A total of 1,855,249 people have recovered from the virus so far and the recovery rate stands at 95.54 percent.
As of Monday, 6,067,404 people died of Covid-19 across the world and 458,729,675 have been infected so far, according to Worldometer.
