A three-day corona vaccine registration fair began in Noakhali on Tuesday, organised by the Civil Surgeon Office.
Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Noakhali Khorshed Alam Khan inaugurated the fair at Noakhali Shilpakala Academy in the morning.
Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC-general) Israt Sadmin, Superintendent of Police (SP) of Noakhali Md Alamgir Hossain, Civil Surgeon Dr Masum Ifterkhar and officials of various departments were present at the time.
The organisers said that the fair was orgnaised with the aim of ensuring mass vaccination activities. The Registration Fair will continue for the next three days
About 15 registration booths have been set up at the fair. Apart from men and women, separate booths are also set up for freedom fighters and eminent persons. Volunteers from various organisations, including scouts, assisted in the registration process.
Civil Surgeon Dr Masum Iftekhar said that fair was organised to make the common public aware and to encourage them to register without any harassment. He hoped that this will generate widespread interest in vaccination among people of all walks of life.
