The country is moving forward at an irresistible pace under the leadership of Sheikh Hasina to build Bangabandhu's Sonar Bangla, said Deputy Minister for Water Resources AKM Enamul Haque Shamim.
He made the remarks while addressing a meeting organized after inspecting the houses of Ashrayan project of DM Khali union of Sakhipur in Shariatpur district on Saturday.
The Deputy Minister said, “Bangladesh is moving in the right direction today under the visionary leadership of Sheikh Hasina. A humane Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has always worked for the welfare of the country and the nation. She continues to set a rare example in the service of humanity by overcoming all obstacles even during the pandemic. Despite being in a high position of power, she is thinking of the poor and working people of the country and working for their welfare.”
Enamul Haque Shamim further said that Sheikh Hasina has set an example of freedom, self-respect and patriotism in the world.
“The dignity of the country has reached such a height that the whole world now respects Bangladesh. She has set an example as a leader of humanity all over the world. Shee has built houses for the homeless all over the country,” he added.
During the visit, the deputy Minister inspected several houses at the Ashrayan project, talked to the rehabilitated inhabitants there and expressed satisfaction.
DM Khali union parishad chairman Mohsin Haque Abu Bepari, Shakhipur Thana Awami League president Humayun Kabir Molla, general secretary Atikur Rahman Manik Sarker, panel chairman of Zila Parishad MA Kaiyum and Upazila Nirbahi Officer Tanvir Al Nasif were present, among others.
