The Comilla University authorities have decided to reopen its halls on October 27 and resume in-person classes on November 2.
The decision was taken at 81st Syndicate meeting on Tuesday following a recommendation, made on October 7, of Academic Council, confirmed CoU registrar (additional in-charge) Professor Dr Md Abu Taher.

Professor Taher said, the syndicate took the decision as covid-19 situation improves in the country. The syndicate meeting has also decided to waive students residential and transportation fees for one year. The university and its dorms remained closed since March 18, 2020 due to the Covid-19 outbreak. But it has held final examinations in three phases during the closure.
