Dhaka University (DU) authorities now extended the suspension of classes and examinations till indefinite time – third time in a row – in an effort to curb the spread of Covid-19, a new strain of coronavirus.
Confirming the matter on Thursday, a DU press release signed by Public Relation Officer Mahmood Alam also said that further notice will be served at least three days before resumption of the classes and exams.
In line with general holidays issued by government, the handout said, the offices will also be closed till April 14. The emergency services will be excluded from the vacation.
Previously, DU had suspended classes and exams from March 18 to March 31, which was later extended till April 14.
This is the third decision of suspension of academic activities.
