The rate of coronavirus infection is showing an upward trend in the country. In the last 24 hour the detection rate rose to over 15 percent.
At this time, one more person died due to corona infection and so far, 29347 people have died in the country. About 620 people were identified newly on the day. In all, the number of infected people stands at 2020768. In the last 24 hours, the detection rate of the samples stood at 15.38 percent. So far, the detection rate considering the sample test is 13.61 percent. The recovery rate from detection is 97.10 percent while the death rate is 1.45 percent. This information was provided in a press release of the Department of Health on Friday.
According to the information 345 people including asymptomatic patients recovered in the last 24 hours in various hospitals and homes of the country including Dhaka City. A total of 1962164 people have recovered so far.
A total of 4040 samples were collected in 24 hours in 881 labs under government and private management across the country and of them 4031 samples were tested. So far, 1 crore 48 lakh 45 thousand 365 samples have been tested.
The person who died in the 24 hours was a male, aged between 51 and 60 years. He died in Sylhet Division Government Hospital.
It was also learnt that 46 people were taken to isolation in the last 24 hours and five people have been discharged. So far, 450695 people came under isolation and 420140 got clearance. Currently, 30555 people are in isolation.
