A menace has been caused in a local by a drug addict and riotous man who very often tortured and humiliated the local people including women.
The oppressor and quarrelsome man is Abir Hossain Sonali, son of Anwar Hossain of Deobhog Banglabazar Sardar Bari under Fatulla police station in Sadar upazila.
On October 18, Sonali tortured three people including a woman. The three victims are Ripon, Mosharaf and Rina Akter. Ripon is a tailor while Mosharaf is a refrigerator mechanic and Rina Akter is a housewife.
After the incident, Rina Akter field a written complaint while Ripon filed a General diary with Fatulla model police station.
Sonali is a terror and local hooligan, a good number of GD and complaints have been lodged against him with Fatulla police station, Tanjamin, a local said.
On April 30 in 2008, Sonali and his associates attacked a Bengali weekly paper office. The editor of the paper had registered a GD no-1722 with Fatulla police station.
On information, Officer-in-Charge of Fatulla model police station Aslam Hossain came to the locals and sat for an arbitration meeting at Banglabazar in the presence of around three hundred locals, most of them are sufferers from Sonali’s torture.
From the beginning of the meeting sufferer Ripon stood and began to deliver, his pain and then OC Aslam Hossain scolded him and asked him to stop his speech.
In the same way, the OC tried to stop any person who tried to say something.
A local elite person asked OC why he threatened the sufferer and innocent locals, then he locked into altercation with him.
OC did not make any decision even did not deliver any opinion about hoodlum Sonali and the meeting ended without any decision.
Once Sonali’s father was staff of anti-corruption commission and thus he is using his father’s former service name in everywhere.
