Heavy rains in the last three days have disrupted life in Cox's Bazar. Many people have been stranded due to rain water and mountain slopes. In many areas, embankments have broken and locals have been flooded. The people of these areas are living in sufferings as their houses are submerged in sea water and rain water.

About 3,000 people in Chakaria, Pekua, Ramu and Sadar upazila of Cox's Bazar are still stranded. Although the rain has decreased since Friday noon, the rain water has not yet receded. As a result, the areas have remained waterlogged.

Cox's Bazar Municipality Panel Mayor 3 Shahena Aktar Pakhi has delivered cooked food to 500 flooded families in Panir Kup Para and Uttar Munia Para under Ward No. 2 of Cox's Bazar Municipality on Friday.

In collaboration with the Cox’s Bazar district administration and the municipality, volunteers delivered the foods to people's houses along with the Panel Mayor.

Cox's Bazar Municipality Panel Mayor 3 Shahena Aktar Pakhi said, "I have stood by the people in many ways since the beginning of the Corona crisis. I am working by keeping myself involved in various problems of the people. It feels very good to be able to provide cooked food to these helpless people”.
