The National Directorate of Consumer Rights has fined 17,000 Tk to 4 companies at Atuar depot in the city.
The campaign runs from 11 am to 1 pm on Friday. The campaign was led by Assistant Director Nasreen Akhtar and Rana Debnath.
A team of CMP police was present and provided full cooperation in the operation.
Tk 1 thousand to Salim Store for not having a price list, Tk 1 thousand to Rangunia Store for selling sugar at a higher price than the government fixed price, Tk 5 thousand to Haji Yashin Store for not having importer's sticker on the packaging of foreign products, and Tk 5 thousand to Jilapi for unauthorized chemical (hydrogen) and burnt oil, Bagdad Hotel was fined Tk 10 thousand and Tk 17 thousand for use.
Officials of the Department of Consumer Protection said that the operation will continue in the interest of the public.
