The online admission period for Class XI in colleges has been extended for the fifth time due to the ongoing flood situation. According to the latest schedule, students can now complete their admissions from August 28 to September 1. Previously, the admission period was set from August 25 to 27, and before that from August 18 to 19, with the main admission date on August 20.
This extension was announced in a circular signed by Professor Tapan Kumar Sarkar, the President of the Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee and Chairman of the Dhaka Education Board, on Tuesday, August 27. The notice stated that the deadline for online admission for Class XI students in the 2024-25 academic year has been extended due to the flood situation.
Despite receiving applications in three stages, many seats remain vacant, and some students have not been selected for admission. Therefore, a fifth stage of admission has been introduced, allowing students to apply to 5 to 10 colleges. The application fee is set at 150 taka, which can be paid through bank cards or mobile banking.
For the new admission period, the maximum admission fee for Class XI has been set at 8,500 taka for English version non-MPO colleges in the Dhaka metropolitan area. Non-MPO colleges of the Bengali version in Dhaka can charge up to 7,500 taka.
Outside of Dhaka, Bengali version non-MPO colleges in other metropolitan areas can charge a maximum of 5,000 taka, and English version non-MPO colleges can charge 6,000 taka. At the district level, Bengali version non-MPO colleges can charge 3,000 taka, and English version non-MPO colleges can charge 4,000 taka. Upazila-level Bengali version non-MPO colleges can charge 2,500 taka, and English version non-MPO colleges can charge 3,000 taka.
For MPO colleges, admission fees in Dhaka are set at 5,000 taka, while in other metropolitan areas, it is capped at 3,000 taka. District-level MPO colleges can charge 2,000 taka, and upazila-level MPO colleges can charge 1,500 taka.
