Collectorate assistants begin strike demanding upgradation

The collectorate assistants began work abstention on Tuesday as part of their central programme demanding change of their official designation along with upgradation of salary. In Jashore, as a part of the centrally-announced programme, employees of Upazila Nirbahi Officer’s office and Upazila Land office began work abstention at Keshabpur upazila in Jashore, reports our Keshabpur Correspondent.

The employees took position on the premises of Upazila Parishad at about 9:00 am. They will continue their three-day strike till Thursday. Bissojit Dutta, Haydar Ali, Mofizur Rahman, Animesh Biswas and Shekhor Chandra Sarkar of Keshabpur UNO office, and Abul Hossain, Rejaul Karim Taru and Faruk Hossain of upazila land office spoke there, among others.

In Faridpur, the district unit of Bangladesh Collectorate Assistant Association began the three-day work absentia at Deputy Commissioner’s office, reports our Faridpur Correspondent. Members of the association gathered in front of DC office and observed their programme. 

During the gathering, General Secretary of the Association Md. Jahangir Alam Biswas, Joint-General Secretary Rafiqul Alam Selim and Organising Secretary Abul Kalam Azad spoke at the time among others. Speakers at the time demanded of the government to accept all their rational demands.

In Pabna, Santhia unit of Bangladesh Collectorate Assistant Association also observed a daylong work absentia in front of UNO Office demanding promotion and salary upgrade on Tuesday, reports our Santhia Correspondnet. Members of the association attended the work absentia from 10 am to 5 pm.
