Members of Bangladesh Coast Guard recovered 7 lakhs pieces of yaba pills and 21.25 lakhs meters of new current net from Zaillar deep area adjacent to Teknaf land port of Cox's Bazar on Friday. The BGB recovered the yaba and current net in a special drive, says a press release.
However, on a tip-off, a team of Coast Guard conducted a drive in Teknaf upazila of Cox's Bazar, at that time, they challenged a wooden boat but the boat capsized after smugglers tried to escape. After inspecting the boat, BCG found 7 lakhs pieces of yaba pills from different sacks.
Besides, on 25 July BCG seized 21.25 lakhs meter new current net from a godown at Balia village under Sadar thana in Chandpur.
