CMP launches ‘service center’ for GD

The CMP has launched a Service Center for General Diary (GD) service on losing mobile phone and other important documents.  In this service center GD can be made for lost mobile phones and important documents inside all police stations of Chittagong Metropolitan.

Chittagong Metropolitan Police (CMP) Commissioner Saleh Mohammad Tanvir inaugurated the service center by releasing balloons on Thursday morning.

According to CMP sources, the GD application will be sent online to the police station concerned and after the GD is recorded with the police station, it will be sent again from the police station to the online service center and a copy of that GD will be given to the applicant from the service center.

The service center will also accept fines for any case related to traffic police.  The documents seized by the traffic police due to the case will be handed over to the owner of the vehicle.  In order to get GD and traffic case related services, the service applicant must bring national identity card and mobile number registered in his / her own name.  Services will be provided at the service center every Sunday to Thursday from 9am to 5pm. More service centers will be set up at more places in the city in phases. 

Additional Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Shyamal Kumar Nath, Additional Commissioner of Police (Crime and Operations) Md Shamsul Alam and other senior police officials were present on the occasion.
