Bangladesh Police Merit-2020 award has been given to the GPA-5 recipients among the children of police officers / employees and non-police families working in Bangladesh Police in the SSC / equivalent examinations of 2020.
An event was organized on the occasion at the conference hall of the Chatogram Metropolitan Police headquarters in Dampara of the city on Monday. The programme was presided over by CMP Commissioner Saleh Mohammad Tanvir.

On the occasion, CMP Commissioner Saleh Mohammad Tanvir handed over crests, letters of commendation and honorarium on behalf of Inspector General of Police Bangladesh (IGP) Dr. Benazir Ahmed to the GPA 5 recipients in 2020 SSC / equivalent examinations among children of police officers / employees and non-police families working in CMP.
Although this merit award ceremony is held centrally every year, this year it was decided to award it through the concerned unit instead of organizing it in Corona situation. Merit scholarships were given to 6 people from CMP of 2020.
Additional Commissioner of Police (Administration and Finance) Sana Shaminur Rahman, Additional Commissioner of Police (Crime and Operations) Md. Shamsul Alam, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Headquarters) Md. Amir Zafar and other senior officers, scholarship students and their guardians were present on the occasion.
