Chuadanga Diabetic Center has been running with full sewing for diabetic patients in the district under direction of Chuadanga Diabetic Association. About 13,467 diabetes patients were treated at the center in 2022.
It may be mentioned here, of the total patients, 228 patients have been given treatment and medicine support at free of cost. On the other hand 3,551 diabetic patients have got discount from the center, disclosed these at the annual meeting of Chuadanga Diabetic Association held on January 27 on the premises of the association.
Adv. Shamsuzzaha, general secretary, stated, the association made income at tk. 62,94,749.93 and expended at tk. 51,00,305.21 in 2022.
The meeting was presided over by Journalist Azad Malita, vice president of the association. Adv. Shamsuzzaha, general secretary, presented annual report and audit report before the members of the association.
The meeting was addressed by Adv. Selimuddin Khan, Adv. Wahiduzzaman Bula, Adv. Aksizul Islam Raton and Shahidul Islam Sahan, joint secretary of the association, Journalist MM Alauddin, Dr. Mizanur Rahman, Medical Officer, Nahid Fatema Ratna, Medical Officer, Dr. Nutritionist Umme Atika Mollik Akhi, Nutritionist and Health Educator, Abdul Wahab, Professor Shyamol Kumar Saha, Amor Dip Agarwala, Tarik and Bozlur Rahman.
It is learnt, 23,487 diabetes patients have registered with Chuadanga Diabetic Center. They are taking treatment from the center. This center also gives support to poor people of the district.
