Police on early Monday recovered the body of a child transport worker, aged around 11 years, who was allegedly strangled to death by others co-workers at Baipail area of Ashulia in Savar, on the outskirts of the capital. Ashulia police station SI Samium Islam confirmed the matter.
The deceased was identified as Ferdous, 11, son of Rois Uddin, hailed from Munshipara village under Sadar police station area of Sherpur district. He used to work at a local public, living at a rented house along with family in Ashulia.

Police later recovered the body and sent it to Capital's Shahid Suhrawardy Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy, as well as detained one name Ridoy, who allegedly was involved in this connection.
Police sources said that the child along with his workers named Ridoy and Parvez, went sleep into the bus at Baipail area after the end of day-long work. Later, at a stage, Ridoy wakes up and said taka 5 hundred lost from his pocket. Afterwards, Ridoy and Parvez get into fistfight when Ferdous told him that he saw Parvez took the money from Ridoy's pocket. At one stage, Parvez strangled Ferdous to death.
"They, the accused, even attempted to established the murder as a simple road accidents, and informed highway police. However, police later informed the matter to Ashulia thana police as they didn’t found any of sign of accident there", police sources added.
Police officials added that they detained Ridoy, but the other accused managed to flee.
"Preparation to file a case over the matter was underway, and police trying to track down Parvez", he added.
