A four-year-old child died of mosquito-borne dengue fever in Laxmipur on Tuesday night. The deceased was identified as Md Parash, son of Md Kamaruzzaman of Charjangalia in Kamalnagar Upazila.
Parash was diagnosed with dengue after medical tests at Fair Diagnostic Center. Morshed Alam Hiru, a physician of the diagnostic Centre said he was referred to Noakhali General Hospital as his condition deteriorated. Later, he died on way to the hospital around 8:00 pm.
