Chief Justice Hasan Foez Siddique on Saturday urged judges for the speedy disposal of pending cases and to remain transparent.
“Judges should perform their duties with transparency from their respective places. Judiciary should be where people get justice in short time at low cost.”
The Chief Justice made his remarks after laying the foundation stone for the construction of 'Naykunja', which will be a restroom for the justice-seekers who come to the nearest district court, at the Jashore court premises on Saturday.
Senior District and Sessions Judge Sheikh Nazmul Alam, Special Judge Mohammad Samshul Haque, Women and Child Abuse Prevention Tribunal-1 Judge Gholam Kabir, Women and Child Abuse Prevention Tribunal-2 Judge Mohammad Mainul Haque, Appellate Division of the Supreme Court Register Barrister Mohammad Saifur Rahman, Chief Judicial Magistrate Fahmida Jahangir, Additional District and Sessions Judge Jayanti Rani Das among others were present in the time.
The Chief Justice exchanged views with the lawyers at Jashore District Bar Association.
At this time, while giving a directive speech to the lawyers, he said that the judiciary must be strengthened to advance the people of this country.
And to strengthen the judiciary there must be a deep understanding between the bar and the bench. Otherwise justice will not be done. He said to the lawyers,You will help the bench.
The Chief Justice planted an olive sapling in Jashore court premises.
