Bangladesh Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal Central President Rakibul Islam Rakib on Friday said Chhatra Dal will stand by the families of all the martyrs of the July-August student movement and will make every effort to support them.
‘Chhatra Dal will not involve in corrupt politics like guest room culture, forced occupation, hall occupation and campus occupation like Chhatra League If the student politics can be launched in a fair way, the common students will be completely with the Chhatra Dal’ he said these after offering monajat at the grave of Martyr Abu Sayed at Zafarpara Babanpur village of Madankhali Union, Pirganj, Rangpur on Friday.
Chhatra Dal president Rakibul said that all the martyrs including Abu Sayed, Mugdha, Wasim were on the streets with the conviction of building an egalitarian, humane Bangladesh. Because of that they became martyrs.
They were on the streets to abolish the fascist state system. Chhatra Dal will carry the spirit of the martyrs in its heart in the hope of building such a society where fascism will never be established in Bangladesh, no dictatorship can be in power again and no one in the country will be discriminated again. This is our commitment, Rakibul said.
He also said that we are inquiring about all the families of the martyrs including the martyr Abu Sayed. Acting Chairman of BNP Tarique Rahman and former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia are completely with the martyr's family. Chhatra Dal is playing a role in establishing a link of how BNP will work for Shaheed family members now and in the future. We will talk to every martyr's family, visit the graves of martyrs. BNP and Chhatra Dal will give more importance to those who have more problems with the information of the martyr's family.
We demand a speedy trial for the suppression, oppression and genocide of the dictatorial Hasina government in suppressing the anti-discrimination student movement. Not only the student movement, we want justice for all the murders of the past, including a fair investigation of every killing incident in the past 15 years, he added.
