The Islamic Foundation Bangladesh (IFB) in Jhenaidah have distributed cheque from Imam-Muazjjing welfare trust. The cheque distribution was held at the foundation office with IFB deputy director Abdul Hamid Khan in the chair where deputy commissioner (DC) Saroj Kumar Nath attended as chief guest on Sunday.
IFB sources said they distributed the cheques among selected 72 Imams and Muajjins where twelve received the chequs for an amount o Taka 5,000 each following the orientation course.
IFB deputy director (DD) Abdul Hamid Khan said the trust was formed with the financial assistance of the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for the wellbeing of the Imams and Muajjins throughout the country. The interest money of the fund was distributed among the selected members who had paid their regular subscriptions accordingly.
Bhutiargati Alim Madrashah principal, also Jheniah district Imam Muajjin welfare association general secretary Abu Baker Siddique attended as special guest.
The function also organized dowa mahfil for them died in novel corona virus or suffering from the global havoc. Salvation of the country from the clutch of covid 19 was also desired there.
