Mayor of Chattogram City Corporation (CCC) AJM Nasir Uddin has said coordination of all the concerned organisations is essential for urban development.
He said: “Coordination of all the concerned organizations involved in urban development is both essential and urgent. In doing so will solve many problems. No planning was made in advance in comparison with increasing pressure on the city's public transport. So, we need to make long-term plans for balanced urban development.”
The CCC Mayor came up with his opinions in a views-exchange meeting at conference room of Banglanews24 at Bashundhara residential area in Dhaka on Saturday.
AJM Nasir Uddin said, “The metro rail that is being built in Dhaka was supposed to be built in Chattogram city long ago, but it didn't happen. Parking everywhere of the city is also chaotic. Now, we’re sitting with police, we are trying to work in coordination.”
Outlying lack of coordination of all organizations, Mayor Nasir said that so much digging is done on city roads while implementing WASA project. The BTCL also digs roads. How come roads stay in good condition after so much digging?
