Due to the corona pandemic, people could not enjoy the joy of Eid well for almost two years. Thousands of people from far and wide flocked to Bosha Bridge, Chinabhatkur Bridge on Chatmohar-Handial Road and another bridge in Darapur area to enjoy the natural beauty of water and land. Before noon, an area of a few kilometers was covered by numerous people.
A few years ago, three beautiful bridges were built on the Chatmohar-Handial road. Muddy water of the river flows under the bridge. Extensive green paddy fields on both sides of the road can be seen.
Thousands of people from Pabna Sadar, Atgharia, Chatmohar, Bhangura, Baraigram of Natore and Tarash Upazila of Sirajganj and surrounding areas gathered at Bausha Bridge, Chinavatkur Bridge and Darapur to enjoy this beautiful view of Chatmohar as there is no other place of entertainment in this area. Family, friends and many others came here to visit riding on auto rickshaws, bikes etc. The whole area became a gathering place for people coming from different parts of the country to celebrate Eid.
Bank official Ruhul Amin cameto Charsengram of Chatmohar from Rajshahi to celebrate Eid at his father-in-law's house.
He said, “We come to this road with the whole family to enjoy this beautiful view. Many people roar in engine-driven boats on the water. Many people observe the beauty on both sides. When the cold wind blows, the body becomes cold. The rural environment, a little far from the city fascinates everyone.
Abdur Rahman, Shahadat Hossain and Surajzaman of the area said that more people come to the area from far and wide to get close to nature on festival days than at other times.
In this regard, Nimaichara Union Parishad Chairman Nurjahan Begum Mukti said, "I was surprised to see the influx of people in this area on the day of Eid. This area can be a good tourist destination. There are several benches and a tent for people to sit on. More benches, tents, public toilets are required in different spots.
In fact, there are no good places to visit in this area. I will do my best to enrich the area, attract tourists and entertainment lovers.”
