Jotsna Kazi, the wife and writer of Chashi Nazrul Islam, a talented director of Bengali films, has passed away at Anwar Khan Modern Hospital in the capital on Tuesday September 28 afternoon.
Sohanur Rahman Sohan, president of the Bangladesh Film Directors Association, confirmed the news of her death. He said, for a long time Jotsna Bhabi had been suffering from various diseases including diabetes and high blood pressure and today she left us.
Bangladesh Film Directors Association has expressed its condolences over the death of Chashi Nazrul's wife. On March 25, 2018, his wife Jotsna Kazi wrote a book titled 'Tatanagar theke BFDC’ at the initiative of Chashi Nazrul Islam Foundation. Chashi Nazrul Islam died on 11 January 2015.
