Charikata Union Health and Family Welfare Center of Jaintapur Upazila in Sylhet has secured 1st position for providing good services at divisional level on 11th July 2020, World Population Day.
Besides, Family Welfare Inspector Mahmuda Khatun working in the centre has been awarded as the 1st in service at upazila and district level.
Charikata Union Health and Family Welfare Centre has achieved unprecedented success in providing services to pregnant mothers in particular. In September 2019, 102 safe deliveries were performed by the health care workers of the centre.
Under the supervision of Acting Medical Officer Mr. Zahid, alongside government employees, there are 4 midwifery and 3 support staff as private service workers in the centre.
This health care centre is plagued with various problems. There is a vacancy for Medical Officer FP and Deputy Assistant Community Medical Officer.
Besides, government ambulance is urgently needed at the centre. It is imperative that the concerned authorities pay close attention to the centre.
