The annual budget of Chandpur municipality for 2019-20 fiscal year was announced on Thursday. Municipal Mayor Nasir Uddin Ahmed announced the budget of Tk 91 crore at Chandpur Press Club.
District Awami League General Secretary Abu Nayeem Patwari Dulal, Vice President Dr JR Wadud Tipu were present the function as special guesst.
Mayor said, "Chandpur Municipality is a corruption free municipality. People have never been harassed here. We are always ready to work for them. With the help of mass prople, Chandpur Municipality will be turned into a transparent and accountable municipality.
Under the proposed budget, major infrastructural development, including construction of roads and gates of Chandpur municipality, development of drainage system, recreation center, are given priority.
At that time, the municipal councilors, the civil society and municipal workers were present there.
