I spent my childhood listening to the stories of communist revolution. I heard the stories about Chairman Mao Zedong, the great leader of the Chinese Communist Revolution, from my father. My father, Comrade Muhammad Taqiyyullah, was a leading Communist activist in the 1950s. He also recalled his contacts with members of the Communist Party of China in 1950s.
When I first visited China (in 2011), my father told me, ‘You must visit the `Mausoleum of Chairman Mao Zedong and his birthplace. Please pay respect to the great leader on my behalf. ’ I was able to keep that promise I had made to my father. I will share that story with the readers today.
Before that, I have been watching China's current development progress for the last ten years, thanks to my many trips to China and my job there. There were also private talks with many Communist Party workers.
This year marks the centenary of the founding of the Communist Party of China. In these 100 years, the CPC has taken China forward on the path of progress and prosperity. Contributing to this glorious journey of the CPC are the leaders and workers who have dedicated their lives to the ideals of socialism since its inception. The People's Republic of China was established in 1949 through the Great Communist Revolution. By leading the country properly since the revolution, the CPC has been able to turn China into a world development leader today.
Chinese civilization is more than five thousand years old. As much as that legacy exists, modern China has a modern people-oriented outlook. Today's China is built on a combination of tradition and modernity.
I can also say something from personal experience in the context of the unparalleled work of poverty alleviation that is currently a huge success in China. Poverty alleviation has really been possible in China. There the common people have been able to change their destiny with their personal hard work and government support.
I live in the suburb of Kunming City in Yunnan Province. I am working as a Bengali language teacher at Yunnan Minzu University there. I have seen that relatively poor people have improved their financial situation by setting up their own shops, handicraft establishments or agricultural farms.
It seemed to me that this would not have been possible without the strong leadership and coherent planning of the Communist Party from the very top to the local level.
I have also traveled to a few small towns in Yunnan.
In small towns, I have seen how they are developing the economy by expanding the tourism industry.
Similarly, the tourism industry has expanded even in the most remote villages of China. There is an issue called rural tourism. Tourists are going to the village to get a taste of the rural life with the nature, culture, food, farm, etc. of the village.
While in China, I realized how centrally integrated planning and leadership at the national and local levels can move a country forward. In fact, it would not have been possible without the ideology of Communism.
China's official five-year plans are adopted by the China’s `National People’s Congress. The plans are People Oriented. The current President of China, Xi Jinping, is a very wise and far-sighted leader. He is also the General Secretary of the CPC.
Under his strong and efficient leadership, this huge achievement like poverty alleviation has been possible. I have read his book. I have also learned many of his memorable sayings. President Xi Jinping is leading China to the forefront of development through his strong and compassionate leadership.
Communist Party workers are also dedicated to the ideals of socialism.
Personally, as many good people as I have seen in China, the ones I like the most are all members of the Communist Party. Dedicated to the ideals of socialism, it is possible for them to work for the society, for the country.
I live on the university campus. It's not just the students who study here. They are associated with a variety of cultural activities. There are various sports and exercise systems for the development of the body and mind of the students.
Often various cultural festivals are organized. Children take part in various competitions. I have not seen any drugs, eve-teasing, ragging etc. on campus. It seems that students are so busy in education, sports and cultural activities that they do not have the time and desire to engage in any illegal activities.
The Communist Party is not just implementing a plan for the youth. The elderly population of China is also very comfortable and at ease. I have had conversations with several senior citizens. They are living a very happy life. Their medical services travel and various entertainments are absolutely free.
The good influence of Chinese Communism has spread all over the country. In the context of Communism, I think of Mao Zedong and Zhou Enlai, the great leaders of the Chinese Communist revolution. My father was a big fan of these two great leaders. I heard a lot about their lives from him.
In 2017, I had the good fortune to visit the birthplace of the great leader Mao Zedong, the family home with his childhood memories, his village and primary school in Shaoshan Village, Hunan Province. It was as if I could see the stories I had heard from my father. I just wish I could bring Dad here. There are many places in Hunan Province, where the memories of Chairman Mao Zedong and the Communist Party are intertwined.
I saw the Mausoleum of Chairman Mao Zedong in Tiananmen Square in Beijing. It was wonderful experience indeed. After paying homage to the great leader and my childhood hero, it seemed that my life is successful. I whispered, `Dad, I keep my promise to you’.
I would like to emphasize another advantage of socialism. The efficient management of the Communist Party and the socialist ideology has made it possible for China to be free from violence against women.
After the Great Communist Revolution of 1949, all forms of discrimination against men and women were abolished in China.
Chinese women enjoy equal status, rights and security in society. From personal experience I can say, China is a very safe country for women. Because Chinese law is very strict against any kind of violence.
Moreover, moral education is also given here from childhood. As they are brought up in socialist ideology from childhood, they are aware of the safety and rights of every man and woman.
China's relations with Bangladesh are very friendly. China's foreign policy is one of mutual respect and esteem.
China is the largest partner in Bangladesh's development and trade.
China has extended a hand of friendship to Bangladesh in the wake of the Corona pandemic. China has gifted various medical items to Bangladesh. Besides, Chinese vaccine is being used in Bangladesh. Communist China and the democratic Bangladesh are advancing development by respecting and honoring each other.
The CPC was officially established on 1 July 1921. The centenary is being celebrated solemnly on July 1, 2021.
Celebrating the centenary of the Communist Party of China is a matter of great joy and pride.
In the centenary of the CPC, I remember with deep love and respect the great communist leaders and workers who have dedicated their lives to the communist ideology since its inception. Greetings and love to the current Communist leaders and workers and the friendly people of China. Congratulations and respect to the current President of China, Xi Jinping.
The crimson flag of China and the red-green flag of Bangladesh have kept the friendship of the two countries and my sincere love for the two countries bright in my heart.
