Cent percent electrification done in Natore

The amount of loss for Natore Rural Electricity Association-2 has reduced to half in the fiscal year 2018-19, compared to fiscal year 2017-18. Besides, 100 percent electrification in the six upazilas under the Association has been completed. This information was revealed at the 36th Annual General Meeting of the Association held at its head quarter at Bonpara area under Boraigram upazila in Natore on Saturday. 

The amount of loss in the 2017-18 fiscal year was Tk 10 crore 11 lakh 92 thousand 7 hundred and 25, which reduced to Tk 4 crore 55 lakh 51 thousand 6 hundred and 98 in the 2018-19 fiscal year.

The President of the Association Board, Wasek Ali Shonar presided over the meeting while Parliament Member of Natore-1 constituency Shahidul Islam Bokul spoke as the chief guest. Among others Superintendent of Police of Sardah Police Administration Mijanur Rahman, General Manager of 

the Association Mominul  Islam, Deputy General Manager Gobindo Agarwala were present at the time.  Under Natore Rueal Electricity Association-2, 3 lakh 46 thousand 4 hundred and 71 subscribers are receiving electricity from the 4 thousand 4 hundred and 2 kilometer long line built in Borai

gram, Gurudashpur, Lalpur and Bagatipara village of Natore and 715 villages under Bagha and Charghat upazila of Rajshahi disteict. 

This achievement has been regarded as ‘hundred percent electrification’. In the current condition, the deficiency of electricity per unit is shown as 0.16 paisa. Later, the chief guest distributed prizes among the best subscriber and the winners of the raffle draw.
