Mayor of Chattogram City Corporation (CCC) Md. Rezaul Karim Chowdhury handed over a personal donation to the Mithun-Aarati couple who lost their three daughters due to gas stove fire at Patharghata Bundel Road Sevbak Colony in Andarkilla Ward of the port city.
Immediately after the accident, the CCC mayor assured the family of assistance. On Sunday morning, the mayor rushed to console the bereaved family at PatharghataSebak Colony residence and handed over the donation cash to the family.
When the residents of Sebak Colony informed the Mayor about various problems of Sebak, the Mayor immediately gave verbal instructions to the officials concerned to take action.
Condoling the Aarati-Mithun couple, the mayor said, you have lost three children. This loss is not recoverable. It is not possible for any parent to accept the child's departure. There can be no more pain. May the great creator give you strength and patience to bear this grief.
After inspecting the work of three multi-storied buildings in this Colony for the Sebaks, the Mayor said that the project is progressing fast to give a safe life to the servants. I strive to make life better for the servants who work day and night to keep the city clean. The entire Sebak Colony will be checked and removed for any hazardous illegal electricity or gas connections.
