Chattogram City Corporation (CCC) Mayor Md Rezaul Karim Chowdhury handed over PM's gift (cash) to the Corona Pandemic affected owners of shops at Patenga Sea-Beach.
The CCC mayor said the government had declared tourist areas closed after the Corona epidemic hit.
As a result, the Patenga Sea-Beach area has suffered a great loss to those who used to do business by arranging food and other items for tourists. It is not possible to fulfill it in any way.
Recently, the government lifted the ban as the corona infection was declining. But it is not possible to compensate for the loss.
The initiative of cash assistance from the Prime Minister is still going on. CCC mayor said everyone must adhere to hygiene rules to prevent the spread of corona infection.
The Prime Minister handed over the gift (cash) to the affected Patenga Sea-Beach shop owners at a function on Saturday night.
